OUR STORY

Foster is a California-based sustainable marketplace for slow-fashion. My goal has been clear: make sustainable fashion more accessible.

I started Foster during my senior year at UCLA. I was obsessed with supporting sustainable independent, small businesses. Whether it was handmade brands, or items made with deadstock materials, I was infatuated with supporting and sharing them however I could. The problem was it was hard to shop them, they were small, scattered across different platforms, and difficult to discover.

Foster came from that frustration. My goal is to make sustainable shopping feel trustworthy, simple, accessible, and all in one place. I discovered each brand now on Foster and fell in love with their story. I believe in them and the amazing things they create. We host a myriad of slow-fashion, women-owned, handmade, small batch brands working out of their homes or in little studios, all with a common theme of maintaining the art of independence.
